Women Migrants Human Rights Center
We aim to make an equal and peaceful society
through the protection of migrant women’s rights
as well as their maternity.
Counseling
We offer consultation to for migrant women suffering from domestic and sexual violence. Also we provide medical advice, legal advice and educational programs for the prevention of sexual and domestic violence.
Protection of maternity rights
We support programs for migrant women’s right to maternity leave during and after their pregnancy and the protection of a newborn’s right to live. These program include education about pregnancy and delivery, maternity leave before and after childbirth, and providing goods for a baby.
Shelter
We provide shelter for physically and mentally abused migrant women so that they can recover their health. We do this by offering board, lodging and necessary articles.
Education/ Culture
We arrange Korean language classes, computer classed, and various cultural activities
Medical care
We provide medical care to migrant women who cannot get medical insurance.
Inter-cultural marriage
We organize several programs and meeting to solve domestic problems caused by cultural differences.
Policy and Public relations
We publish books, brochures, and pamphlets related to alterative proposals for the improvement of unfair treatment towards migrant women.
Volunteer activity areas
– Food bank: food for babies and migrants living in shelters
– Pregnant family support: visiting families and teaching them about pregnancy and delivery
– Child care
– Counseling: counseling migrant women suffering from sexual or domestic violence
– Transportation: drive volunteers or staff to pregnant families, to the hospital for the baby’s immunization shots.
– Translation service: educational books, brochures and pamphlets
